Progress Telecom is a leading southeast US carrier delivering wholesale broadband services from traditional private line capacity to advanced ethernet and IP solutions. Progress's fully owned OC192 (10 Gbps) IP network spans the southeast US with services to Latin America. Progress's backbone reaches 12 key cities, including Atlanta, Jacksonville, Daytona, Melbourne, Orlando, Tampa, and Miami; each having fiber metro rings.
Also the network has superb uptime record and is switched using only high quality Cisco and Foundry routers and switches, utilizing the border gateway protocol version 4 (BGP4). The sensitive, high performance electronic equipment we use to power our web hosting service requires a precise, reliable control of room temperature. Precision raised flooring air conditioning is powered by 40 ton Liebert Deluxe System 3 compressors to ensure that our server room maintains optimal temperature, humidity and air-quality levels.
Layer 2 networking and server equipment are stored in secure lockable cabinets which ventilate conditioned air throughout. 12" raised flooring is standard.
All servers are custom built, ensuring that we can meet our own high server build standards and choose the best components possible. We've made it policy to only use quality brand name components. Not only do we use quality components, but we also have the expertise to select the right component for the right task.
Shared servers have minumum 4 GB memories while VPS servers use higher GB of memories, ensuring that the systems have an incredible level of processing power. Also there are always free 4 GB swap space, helping to ensure memory shortages never occur.
On site technicians are available 24x7 in the event of an emergency, or simply to reboot or repair your server when you need it. It is guaranteed to replace a hardware within two hours of the fault being diagnosed and analysed.
Individual servers and services are monitored every minute of every day from three global locations, ensuring that we are apprised of any unusual activity at all times.
The data center room features chemical fire suppression systems to prevent spreading in the unlikely event of a fire.
Additionally, entry to the building and server rooms is controlled by electronic access cards and identity by photo verification. The entire building is monitored by CCTV video camera surveillance at all times.
